Who’s it for?
Anyone seeking to improve their leadership and their relationships.
Content
This workshop will introduce participants to the research and tools of Dr Brené Brown’s now famous Dare to Lead program, based on her 20 years of research and best selling book, Dare to Lead. In this 1-day workshop, we take you through the most important parts of this ground breaking work, including introducing the four skills of courageous leadership (as identified by Brené Brown) alongside other tools and practices that will align with your leadership goals and direction.
We will cover the first two skills of the four skill sets of Daring Leadership in depth and touch on the third skill briefly. Rumbling with Vulnerability (including how to have difficult conversations, how to give and receive feedback, etc) and Living into your Values (critical to building your self-awareness).
Note that this is not the full Dare to Lead™ curriculum and participants will not be taught all the content of the 3-day certified program, rather some selected key elements in Daring Leadership Skillsets no. 1, 2 & 3.
Outcomes
An understanding of three of the four Skillsets of Courageous Leadership and a number of new skills and tools to significantly accelerate your leadership and self-awareness journey.
Identification of your own two personal values, awareness of how important they are for authentic leadership, and how to operationalise these values in your workplace.
You will understand that great leadership requires showing up for hard conversations, including giving and receiving feedback, and you will now have the skills to do that. Brené Brown’s 20 years of research found that the number one issue facing organisations is that they are not having difficult conversations.
An understanding that having these hard conversations is critical for building trust within my team and is the foundation of building a high performance culture.
You will learn the seven key elements of trust. Key to this is building an awareness that dancing around the truth is unkind.
Through this intensely connecting work attendees will feel more connected, more seen, more understood and more valued.
You will forge stronger, deeper and more trusting relationships with your colleagues, your clients and with your family and friends.
You will learn a set of behaviours and leadership skills and you can now support each other on an ongoing basis. Each participant receives an Integration Plan which they can refer back to and recall the skills they learned and remember how to apply them.
